Therefore we are looking for a Senior Purchasing &?Assortment Manager who brings vision and gives direction.


     
Functieomschrijving
As Senior Purchasing &?Assortment Manager you are ultimately responsible for the furniture category?across?seven Northern?European countries and lead the joint purchasing strategy for all ten European Raja Office markets. You not only set the course but also ensure its execution: from assortment strategy and supplier selection to pricing, margin improvement and process optimisation.
You lead an experienced team and work closely with four other senior managers in Venlo. This role calls for a strategic leader: someone who provides direction, innovates, makes decisions and brings others along.

Your Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute the European category strategy for furniture.
  • Optimise assortment, supplier strategy, pricing and promotions.
  • Lead (international) negotiations and build strong supplier relationships.
  • Develop sourcing and purchasing strategies for the private?label brand.
  • Manage margin, cash flow, inventory strategy and lifecycle management.
  • Lead, coach and prioritise within an experienced team.
  • Collaborate intensively with Sales for major accounts, tenders and customised assortments.
  • Implement process improvements and innovation.
  • Coordinate with Senior Management and Managing Directors throughout Europe.
Functie-eisen
We are looking for a senior professional who is strategically strong, provides direction and delivers results.
Essential:
  • A completed higher?education degree (HBO or WO) – for example Business Administration, Commercial Economics, Technical or NEVI.
  • At least 5 years of experience in purchasing, category management or assortment management within an international B2B environment.
  • Proven experience in building category? and supplier strategies for large spend volumes.
  • Strong negotiation skills, stakeholder management and profit margin responsibility.
  • Leadership: you are able to coach an experienced team, provide direction and bring focus.
  • Excellent command of the English language.

Arbeidsvoorwaarden Viking offers a package fitting a senior European role with major responsibilities:
  • Annual bonus up to 17%.
  • Mobility allowance of €?500 gross per month.
  • 36 days off (24 vacation days + 12 ADV days).
  • Start with a one?year contract; intention is to go for permanent.
  • Two?month probation period.
  • An international working environment with 30 nationalities; English is the internal language.
