    Viking Europe has an exciting opportunity for a Conceptual Creator to join our European headquarters in Venlo, the Netherlands.

An ideal candidate is an inquisitive person that possesses a deep level of critical thinking and research skills. This position requires a driven individual with a thirst for creative culture and design, with an enthusiastic curiosity toward emerging social and technology cultures. A focus of the job is assisting in finding the overlap between the two and applying that to innovative product concepts. You get things done, you like to play in a team and you like to structure things so they can run smoothly. You are going to be sitting in the cockpit of the creative design operations.

  • You are bringing omnichannel creative briefs/concepts to life based on project needs and vision.
  • You will work & collaborate with the creative & marketing team to produce inventive, impactful ideas to promote marketing campaign messaging omnichannel.
  • You are able to come up with original big ideas based on research and customer insights and come up with moods, themes & inspiration
  • You monitor design and consumer trends that influence our customer
  • You translate strategic messages into a clear, compelling, on-brand customer-facing design that is visually exciting and emotionally engaging
  • You will work alongside marketers to deliver highly engaging, rapidly deployed messaging.
  • You work as part of a team, helping to translate business requirements into outstanding digital experiences and successful communication campaigns on print, webshop, or via video.
  • You think 360. You will create creative ideas across multiple platforms, including digital, print, email, and other marketing channels.
  • You will undertake a variety of briefs in-line with an annual marketing campaign plan.
  • You will be the voice of the brand as well as marketing activities. Through this, you will maintain brand guidelines across every piece of creative work produced.
  • You remain actively engaged in conversations surrounding layout changes, design challenges, and photography questions
  • You will deliver against time, quality, and technical constraints.
  • You will experiment with new tools, creative techniques, products, processes, methods, and approaches to push creative boundaries for advertising.
Functie-eisen

What do you need to be successful in this role

  • Bachelor's degree in Design / Communication or comparable qualifications with several years of design (creative industry) experience
  • Demonstrable level of proficiency with Adobe CC such as InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Premiere, and/or After Effects. Proficient in HTML, and CSS is very much preferred
  • Excellent understanding of brands, advertising, performance marketing, and direct marketing and you have an innate taste for the latest and greatest social platforms, digital technology, an instinct for snappy writing, and a natural feel for visual design
  • You have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills in English
  • Ability to interpret a brief on multi-channel campaigns and able to develop this and deliver on it
  • Ability to confidently present your designs and articulate creative vision to team leads and other departments.
  • Familiarity with current trends in color, technology, communications, experience, art, and other design influences.
