As an Area Sales Manager, you are the driving force behind commercial success within the industrial sector, with a strong focus on the packaging and label market. You act as the central point of contact for your region, which primarily includes the Benelux, Spain, Italy, and Germany. You are given the freedom and responsibility to develop and execute your own strategic sales plan. You manage a portfolio of existing customers, while your hunter mentality ensures that you continuously seek out new business opportunities. You work on capital-intensive projects with long sales cycles and are able to convincingly present the full value proposition — from machines to consumables.
Your responsibilities include:
Managing and expanding relationships with (strategic) accounts within your region.
Actively hunting for new business and reactivating former customers (approximately 30% of your time).
Developing, executing, and evaluating your own strategic sales plan.
Coordinating projects and collaborating with internal departments such as Customer Care, Finance, and Product Management.
Managing the entire sales cycle, from lead qualification to closing the deal.
Traveling internationally (up to 60%) to visit customers, agents, and industry events.

We are looking for an entrepreneurial and proactive Area Sales Manager who takes full ownership of their business. You are a team player who enjoys collaborating and sparring with (technical) colleagues and who thrives in an organization that is continuously evolving. You want to build, contribute ideas, and help shape the future. You understand the dynamics of long, complex sales trajectories and know how to create value for customers.
You bring:
A bachelor’s level of thinking and working, preferably in a commercial or technical field.
5–10 years of relevant commercial experience in a technical B2B environment.
A proven track record in generating new business and achieving agreed sales targets.
Experience with capital-intensive products and long sales cycles.
Knowledge of the graphic or printing industry is a strong advantage.
The ability to understand and sell a consumables-based business model.
Excellent command of English and German; Dutch is a strong plus.
Willingness to travel internationally up to 60% of the time.
